The Watchers:
Redemption
It is what you do after you realize that life is meaningless that makes the most difference.
- Uri il Asra
By Trenton Hamm
If the whole of history is a great tapestry upon which the stories of the universe are written, then The Watchers attempts to repair a frayed and fragmented edge.
The Watchers: Redemption is the third and final book of the series. Redemption begins immediately after The Watchers: New World and concludes the tale of the Elohim, a bold people who have ventured far from their home to a planet that is lightyears away.
The paradise of the New World has turned to prison. They have been stricken with The Curse, and their efforts to overcome their doom has resulted in being incarcerated by their own offspring.
Coupled with this, the Elohim offspring have enslaved the indigenous species of the New World and have corrupted their genome such that nothing of either species may survive.
But there is a glimmer of hope in the people that Uri and Enokh have taught in the "right ways". Will the Elohim and Gibilim survive, or will genocide of both species will be the end?
Praise for Book 1– The Watchers: Home World
Trenton Hamm's ongoing juxtaposition of high-octane drama and evolving truths that operate on a higher intellectual level give thinking sci-fi readers an absorbing story that rests on the foundations of not just transformation, but surviving and learning from disaster: "Some might argue that it was the death of the home world that caused the death of the people, and some might argue conversely."

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in sci-fi or historical fiction. The author's talent for world building is immediately realized through his attention to detail, vivid descriptions of the landscape and surroundings, and thorough introduction to the Elohim and their culture. Within a chapter or two, I felt fully immersed in their world and was able to see the story unfold through Uri's eyes. If you aren't hooked by then, the interstellar travel is bound to captivate you! [I can't] wait to see what Trenton has in store next for the Elohim!

I enjoyed the system-building [the author] introduced in this first installment. The anticipation the book built all the way to that final journey was incredible and seeing the struggles everyone faced with their isolation made them feel human again there at the end. Seeing the world building on Solace and Archird generated excitement for me to see their excursion to their new home and anticipate the challenges they’ll face there. And the technology seemed like a potential future so that helped with grounding the experience rather than making it feel entirely fictional. Overall, I would say [the] story is intriguing and I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.
